The Gyronimo Performance Pad for Cessna 172P is a comprehensive tool designed for precise aircraft performance analysis and weight & balance calculations. It demonstrates a robust compatibility profile, supporting iPads from the 3rd generation onward and iPad Mini Retina; however, it is incompatible with earlier models such as iPad 1 and 2, as well as the non-Retina Mini.

The application incorporates recent updates to include support for various fuel tank configurations, including Standard, Long Range, and Integral tanks. It leverages data directly from the Cessna 172P Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH), allowing operators to interpolate performance data effectively by entering actual flight parameters.

One of its notable features is the rapid completion of flight planning tasks, facilitating users to obtain accurate performance metrics swiftly. Results are displayed immediately in high-resolution graphics optimized for devices such as the iPad 2/3 and iPad Mini, enhancing readability and usability.

• Mass & Balance Page: Enables calculation of the aircraft’s Center of Gravity, Moments, Takeoff Mass, and Zero Fuel Mass. Users can input weights for persons and baggage via intuitive sliders. Visual graphical displays—including Moment Envelope, CG envelope, and aircraft axes—provide clear limits checks. Additionally, a comprehensive load manifest can be generated and emailed for documentation purposes.
• Takeoff Page: Utilizes POP data to compute Ground Roll and Landing Distance considering variables such as aircraft mass, pressure altitude (MSL), outside air temperature (OAT), altimeter setting, runway conditions (paved or grass), slope, and wind components.
• Climb Page: Estimates climb time, fuel consumption, speed, and distance based on differences in elevation between takeoff point and specified flight level. Wind effects are incorporated to provide accurate climb performance data.
• Cruise Page: Determines ideal cruise altitude guided by trip distance, indicated flight level (FL), engine RPM, temperature, wind conditions, and pressure altitude configuration from the POH.
• Landing Page: Calculates landing ground roll and required distance factoring in wind speed/direction, elevation, and atmospheric pressure. Wind component calculations are accessible via an integrated tool.
• Stall Speed Page: Computes stall speeds for various bank angles and flap settings in KIAS and KCAS using actual POH data.
• Setup: Supports saving up to five aircraft configurations or scenarios. Users can email performance summaries directly from within the app and access tutorial videos through the provided channel link for further guidance.

The application offers two operational modes:

• Individual Mode: Permits independent calculations without interdependence between pages.
• Plan Mode: Transfers calculated data across pages to facilitate comprehensive flight planning with a dedicated "Flight Summary" page. This mode suits users seeking an integrated planning experience.
